I’m a 36 year old geek that is finding my way in the world. I’ve got my family life where I want it. I’ve got a great job that I have no intention of leaving. I have an insane dog that’s recently developed a great fear of thunderstorms. Beyond that? I’m a lover of comic books, video games, movies, travelling.. and i’m sure other more exciting and awesome things.
I wlil answer one quick question here that you probably weren’t dying to ask. In a very comic book cliche kind of way, here is the origin story behind siraim.com.
In high school (way back before 1992), I had a close group of friends that would get together regularly to kill time and find ways to get ourselves into trouble. One wild night while playing an RPG (pen and paper kids.. this was long before online gaming), one of my buddies said something monumentally silly. I picked up my ball cap and threw it at him from across the room. The brim of the cap hit him square in the neck with some force.
He dared me to do it again. I collected my cap, went back to the other side of the room and threw it one more time. Wham! Hit him again, square in the neck. Given the night of general silliness and RPGing, I was dubbed Sir A.I.M. (Artificially Intelligent Man) for my uncanny accuracy with my baseball cap.
As the internet came to be, I adopted Sir A.I.M. as my domain name and eventual handle on all sorts of websites. Due to the fact that ‘m.com’ wasn’t avaialble, i decided to mashup the name and remove the punctuation. siraim as a short name was born.
